Marketing Strategy & Message | Advertising & Print Design
Everyday people are affected by identity theft which is a rising problem that has not yet found a solution to stop it, but there are some ways to help. Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC) is a nonprofit organization that is nationally respected and dedicated exclusively to the understanding and the prevention of identity theft.
We needed to show consumers there is somewhere they can turn to find and get help, and to also learn how to help prevent theft. This is a organization that is completely based online. By reaching out past the Internet and moving to magazines advertisements we could reach another more targeted audience that may be unaware of the severity of Identity theft. These advertisements were designed to resemble small portions of there website so consumers will recognize ITRC when they visit the website.
We needed to create more than one advertisement to fit into different magazine genres while staying relevant to there readers.
Our first ad uses the concept of a finger print which is unique to everyone like our important security numbers and passwords. This was used to increase readers awareness of identity theft. Designed to resemble the police finger print matching system, we targeted important information that was is relevant to our audience. Our second advertisement is used to show how much of your personal information is in the "matrix" of the Internet. The idea was to show readers you are nothing without your identity and you have to protect yourself and be educated about this crisis.
