Cigars are thought to be an elderly man's past-time. We wanted to revamp its status to a new generation of cigar aficionados. By taking a look at popular cigar advertisements it's not hard to figure out why they aren't appealing to a new dynasty. Olivia's Series "O" is extremely bold and flavorful from diverse regions of Nicaragua to produce a distinct blend.
Thinking outside of the classic cigar box advertisement, we decided to go bold just like there Series "O". We needed to create an advertisement that would appeal to a younger more extreme generation like their new line of cigars.
We researched what the target audience had an interest for, which was a need for speed. Whether it was a car, motorcycle, even the internet, the newer generation likes to go fast.
There is a flavor and intensity for everyone and every situation.
We used an image of a gauge to indicate the amount of flavor this Series "O" has to offer compared to red lining RPMs. We decided "What's your meter read?" was a clever and discrete way to create the feel of intense flavor.
